Isn't it funny how your taste in decor can resemble your taste in fashion?

I'm in love with this dress! The inside is surprisingly not itchy and its decently priced (considering it is amazing quality). I will say, however, it runs really big (I am wearing a size XXS), so if you're interested, size down.

P.S.  J.Crew is having an amazing promo--25% off and free shipping on orders of $150+ with code STYLE25, which can be applied so don't miss out!

Fall '12 Trends: style

{She Finds: Forget Bold Colors, This Fall is All About Bold Collars}

{She Finds: Sweaters are going to get pretty graphic this fall}

{She Finds: Fall's dress code is black tie}

{She Finds: Pull an Angelina Jolie with high-slit skirts for fall}

{She Finds: When it comes to fall shoes, you better put a cap on it}

Of the above trends, my favorites are the contrasting collars and graphic sweaters as seen in New York's Fall/Winter 2012 Fashion Week. Many of these collars are actually accessories that easily tuck into sweaters and crewneck dresses--who wouldn't think thats cool! Its a simple way to make your outfit look a bit more polished, especially when the collar pops out with color.  The sweaters give a fun side to winter where your grandmother's old vintage vintage sweater can become a fashion keepsake!

Dress: Madewell || Shoes: Tory Burch {on sale!} || Bag: Tory Burch || Scarf: Mod Cloth || Sunnies: Ray Ban || Hat: Hat Attack || Watch: Michael Kors || Bracelet: David Yurman || Passport: Cleobella {on sale!}

Heres a collage for all those girls I consider lucky--those who travel!  Although I have no trips planned in the near future (due to busy schedule of school/work), I wanted to style a special outfit as if I did.  Its okay to pretend, right?  Hopefully somedayyyy :)
Can you take a guess as to where I got the orange and blue inspiration?

Happy Fourth!

Nice Neutrals
Top: Madewell || Caridgan: J. Crew {sold out, but similar style here} || Skirt: Madewell || Jewelry: J. Crew, Pacsun || Clutch: ASOS {on sale!} || Shoes: ASOS
I've always been a neutral type of girl, and seeing that its Friday, this outfit is perfect for the weekend whether its date night, or dinner with friends.  I especially love the mixing of prints (polka-dot and leopard) to make a bold statement!  I'm adding the big polka-dot skirt to my wish list for sure.

Hopes everyone has a great weekend!

Skirt Looks

RC Looks
If you're like me, you can never have too many nude tops and shoes! The outfit opportunities are endless to say the least.  For these looks I concentrated on skirt styles in order to really make a statement for the summer season.  Bring in some color with skirts, skirts, and skirts!  (obviously pants/shorts as well, but skirts can really make a statement if styled correctly).  This year you will see a lot of bright green, pastels, and blacks/whites in styles ranging from pencil skirts, mini skirts, and peplum skirts.
Lets check these looks out...
  1. Classic: you cannot go wrong with this.  If you're looking to invest in garments that you will be able to wear years from now, this timeless look is for you.  Pair it with a Chanel bag for added sophistication, plus it is an awesome investment!  The pencil skirt is great for more conservative events, while the Mui Mui Mini would be for the more daring fashionista.
  2. Casual: with a loose, flowing top, you can accomplish the comfortable side of being casual.  With easy DVF wedges and a Pieces Satchel Bag shopping or going for a walk in the park is a breeze.  However being casual doesn't mean you have to look boring--spice it up with a printed skirt and some gold bracelets.
  3. Urban: if you're not afraid to show a little skin and sport some edgier prints, you need this outfit!  Wearing the Warehouse Peplum Pencil skirt may be too simple for your taste, but adding a modern spike necklace will help give it the edge you desire.  Also in love with AllSaints short sequined skirt!
  4. Preppy: a pink Lipsy peplum skirt or the always beloved J. Crew long skirt will give you the ultimate preppy look with a modern twist to stay fresh.  This looks great matched up with a collared top cinched in at the waist and a funky necklace.
